Privacy Policy
Effective date August 11, 2026
This is the privacy policy for lumsyl, a planning tool for the self-employed. The site is not yet open — right now the only thing it does is take an email address for the launch list. This page describes exactly what that involves, in plain terms.
We will update this page before the tool itself opens, because at that point it will handle information this policy does not yet cover.
What we collect
If you join the launch list, we store:
- Your email address — the one you typed into the form.
- Which page you signed up from — the home page, the ACA page, or the QBI page. This tells us which topics people care about.
- The date and time you signed up.
That is the entire record. We do not ask for your name, and we do not ask for or store any financial information. You have not entered any, because the tool is not open yet.
Why we collect it
To email you when early access opens, and to understand which parts of the product people are most interested in. That is all. We do not sell your address, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not add you to unrelated mailing lists.
Usage analytics
We measure how the site performs and which pages get visited, using Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These record things like the page viewed, the referring site, approximate country, and page-load speed. They do not use cookies and do not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. This happens whether or not you join the list, and it is not connected to your email address.
No third party collects information about your online activities over time or across other websites through this site.
The site stores one thing in your browser: your light/dark theme choice. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Who else can see it
Only the services that run the site, and only because they host it:
- Supabase — the database where the launch list is stored.
- Vercel — hosting and the analytics described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Otherwise, no one else gets it.
We do not sell your information
We have never sold personal information and have no plans to. Nevada residents may submit a verified request regarding the sale of covered information to privacy@lumsyl.com, our designated request address.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures to protect the information we hold. Concretely: the launch list sits in a database that is not readable by the public site at all, reaching it requires a credential that exists only on the server and is never sent to your browser, and the site is served over HTTPS.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until the launch list is no longer in use. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
Reviewing, correcting, or removing your information
Email privacy@lumsyl.com and ask. We will delete or correct your address on the launch list and confirm when it is done. You can also ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you. You do not need to give a reason for any of these.
Who is responsible
This site is an independent product, currently operated as a sole proprietorship. This page will be updated with the formal legal entity once it is established. Privacy questions go to privacy@lumsyl.com; anything else to hello@lumsyl.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is significant — for example, when accounts and saved plans open — we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
